Jobs I’ve Done

Written as more of a “stream of consciousness” than anything else, I one day started to write down every job-type I’ve ever done… in no particular order. I used to call this my “jerk of all trades” list, but somehow that was getting misconstrued.

Things I Wanna Do

For lack of a better nomenclature, let’s just say this is my own personal bucket list. Will I ever get all of these things done, most likely not. However, I’d sure like to give it a try! Some of them would require a partner, while others are things I’d need to do on my own. Hey, a guys gotta dream, right? I was thinking the other day: What hasn’t changed all that much? You know, what are the things that seem unchanged by time, or circumstances, or politics, or stupidity? Here’s a few of the things I could come up with:

One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections. The bedding was hardly able to cover it and seemed ready to slide off any moment. His many legs, pitifully thin compared with the size of the rest of him, waved about helplessly as he looked.
